Fanatics Collect Dealer Partner Toolkits

Developing a comprehensive suite of C2C marketing materials for partnered card shops to enhance their engagement and sales on behalf of Fanatics Collect. 

The Problem

This project faced several critical challenges that needed to be addressed to maintain brand integrity and capitalize on its substantial financial potential, projected at $6 billion and expanding weekly. Initially, inconsistencies arose when a partner used off-brand marketing tactics in co-branded social marketing, risking consumer confusion and diminishing brand recognition. 


Key challenges included scalability, as marketing solutions had to adapt to a growing product portfolio; user inexperience, which necessitated user-friendly design and educational content for diverse consumer levels; and budget constraints that required efficient resource allocation to deliver high-quality materials without overspending. Successfully navigating these challenges was essential for sustaining the company's competitive edge and ensuring the project's overall success.

Defining Project Scope

After initial ideation, a comprehensive list of offerings designed for partners was set, including store signage, mailing inserts, breaking mats, and card display holders. To ensure a seamless and ongoing partnership experience, it was determined that the project would be structured into manageable phases. Once the deliverables for phase one were agreed upon, the team moved forward with design and production, setting the stage for subsequent phases that would build on the established foundation and further enhance partner engagement.

Meeting Brand Standards

 The design of each deliverable was significantly shaped by the brand standards established during the recent rebranding effort. All materials adhered to new guidelines, incorporating specific color gradients and pre-defined layout rules for consistency. Given the need for co-branding with both Fanatics Collect and partner logos, a repeatable design approach was developed to ensure seamless integration while maintaining brand integrity. This alignment with brand standards reinforced the identity of Fanatics Collect and enhanced collaboration with partners. 

Sourcing Materials

The sourcing of materials involved a strategic approach to accommodate both digital and custom physical deliverables. For digital assets, a repeatable system was established to optimize time management for the design team while effectively meeting partner expectations. In contrast, for physical items such as breaking mats and store signage, the team leveraged the expertise of the events manager, who provided valuable insights on sourcing custom printed products and signage. This collaboration ensured that the project adhered to the expected budget and utilized company-approved vendors, thereby maintaining quality and compliance throughout the process.
